Currently, the reasons that cause “Recovery Mode” after upgrading to i OS 10/i OS 9/i OS 8/i OS 7/i OS 7 are unclear.
Three are no other solutions but to manage to recover i Phone 7, i Phone 7 plus, i Phone 6S, i Phone 6, i Phone 6 plus, i Phone 5S, i Phone 5C, i Phone 5, i Phone 4S, i Phone 4, i Phone 3GS, i Pad Pro, i Pad mini, i Pad air, i Pad 4, i Pad 3, i Pad 2, i Pod touch 5, i Pod touch 4 with i Tunes.
The article notes that only the i Phone is affected and that there are ways to deal with the issue.
The three options are: hard resetting your i Phone, “forgetting” your wireless network in the Wi Fi settings, or resetting your network settings altogether.
I had a friend reach out to me on Facebook in a panic after he somehow had gotten his i Phone 4 into a tizzy. I love hearing about ways to fix issues – especially with an i Phone.
His i Phone had gone into a strange mode and his question was simple, my i Phone stuck in recovery mode, what do I do? sorry to buy you but I know you love your i Phone and might be able to help me. I thought I’ve seen it all when it comes to the i Phone. I’ve had my phone black out, shut off, brighten and darken, crack, make noises, not make noise at all and announce cryptic messages on the push notifications – but I’ve never had it go into recovery mode, ironically. Essentially, the device enters a mode called “Recovery Mode”.
The update may have gotten rid of the tracking feature, but it also got rid of another important feature: being able to connect to Wi Fi and 3G. Some users who updated their i OS devices to i OS 4.3.3 are experiencing Wi Fi/3G data connection problems.
David Martin from Cult of Mac said he has experienced the same issue when tring to connect to a network.
Apple may have quietly put a this restriction in place. Check the ‘Downgrade from i Pad baseband’ checkbox, uncheck Cydia and click Next. Redsn0w will start doing the downgrade and you will see ‘Flashing Baseband’ screen on your i Phone with the Pawnapple icon.An unknown error occurred (36)” What operations cause the “Recovery Mode” while upgrading to i OS 10, i OS 9, i OS 8, i OS 7 or i OS 6?How to recover i Phone, i Pad or i Pod touch without data loss? If i Phone, i Pad or i Pod can’t be restored, how to get out of the “Recovery mode”?Just updated to i OS 6 but getting the i Tunes error “There is no SIM card installed in the i Phone you are attempting to activate”? This is a rather weird issue because you already have your SIM card inserted but i Tunes is saying otherwise. What’s even more weird is that you have an i Phone 3GS which is already factory unlocked but won’t activate normally (or if you have an AT&T i Phone, and need to unlock it, click here).
