This formula has somehow become the definitive rule for the youngest age of a woman a man can date. So much so, that they don’t go after women they’re actually interested in.
This taboo makes some of my clients feel shameful about their age preferences.
Put another way, if a woman has an array of other quality options closer to her age range, what incentives would she have to date a man who is SEVENTEEN YEARS OLDER? Before any 40 people get all hot and bothered about this – I am not judging. I do think people improve with age (my wife is nodding). She doesn’t need a guy who will be taking Viagra when she’s sexually peaking at 43..
But let’s not pretend that we, as a culture, don’t worship at the altar of youth. He’s got the job and the home and the car, and been divorced with a kid already.
This doesn't matter if you just want to press your bodies together, but because they're so alluring, being cast aside out of flightiness stings more than it would if she were older.
I think that’s awful because I know many normal, great guys who just happen to like younger women. I want to show you that there’s nothing wrong with age disparity in a relationship and it may even work out better for many couples.
You don’t have to look far to see most men find women to be at their most attractive in their 20’s.
On the other hand, many women are most attracted to men in their 30’s, 40’s, and even 50’s.
Older women are more brusque in their rejections, but this makes it easier to get over -- "yikes, glad I didn't get to know " -- while rejection from a peppy teen affords you no such easy rationalization.2) Unless you plan on dating your students, it is difficult to run into young girls in a get-to-know-you environment.
One of the most common ways is being introduced to the younger sister of someone closer to your age.
