I've been running since using the Map My Run app on my phone.
A couple of weeks ago (May 2015) I finally got a new power cable, charged up the watch, downloaded all the updates (as far as I know), and still have the same situation: My Sports Connect says the watch is up-to-date, but the Quick GPS icon on the watch itself is the computer screen with the arrow.
Also, the Quick GPS information thats downloaded to your watch is only valid for 3 days, then the check mark will change to the icon of a computer screen with a downward pointing arrow in it.
If yours doesnt, then something is probably wrong with the hardware or the firmware.
Since its always possible that the firmware on your watch did not fully download/install onto your watch or has been corrupted in some way, a factory reset is a pretty common (and effective) suggestion for about any type of unusual behavior.
Hi, I'm having similar problems regularly with the Quick GPS fix update (and in this case i cannot use the GPS for Running, Biking, walking, etc) I have reset, restart, all re.... Plug the watch into a PC, wait for Connect to load, hit the gear icon, and hold Ctrl (Windows) or cmd (Mac OSX) while clicking Reset (it will change to Turn Off).
I have had most of this problems after the time was changed end of March. Make sure you are on the latest version of the Connect software (3.25) which adds a fix for an issue that causes Quick GPS not to update and follow these steps.
