Thanks You say that everything about this situation is bad, but to me it looks like 1) your child is exploring himself (which isn't in and of itself a bad thing) and 2) you're aware of the behaviors before something life-changing happens they aren't prepared for (STIs, pregnancy) - so not everything is bad!
If you enjoy gabbing with your peers and want to continue when school is out, chat rooms are a great place to meet other like-minded people your age and maybe even engage in lighthearted flirting.
With its immediate instructions to show common courtesy and respect for other teens on the site, The Teen Flirt Chat Room fosters a healthy, considerate environment. Just think of a screen name you would like to use and type it in.
It may take a few seconds for the room to appear, but it shouldn't take more than a minute.
Screen Retriever is one of the best, most useful software programs we’ve tested so far.
We think it’s a great tool that can greatly benefit a parent’s relationship with their child when it comes to online safety.
It’s hard to imagine the idyllic suburb of Basking Ridge, NJ as the epicenter of a teen sex scandal, but in May 2014, a sexting incident at William Annin Middle School had parents and educators up in arms over the distribution of nude photos among 13-year-olds. One month earlier, a 16-year-old West Orange boy and a 16-year-old Little Falls girl were each charged with distributing child pornography after their explicit conversations surfaced.
Needless to say, I was extremely disturbed, and scared for her.
Aside from explicit photos, she had details about herself that would allow someone to figure out who she was and without too much effort, where she went to school and where she lived.
Everything about the situation is just bad in my book.
However, I don't really see that there is much I can do to prevent it.
